Ulster Defeat North Down 3-0

The Ulster, Jordanstown men’s volleyball team travelled to Bangor to take on North Down on Monday night. After their bye week in week 1 the Ulster team were keen to get their league campaign off to a good start. In the first set it looked like North Down were going to win the set comfortably leading 21-15 but Ulster stopped making unforced errors and served and blocked to win 10 points on the trot to take the set 21-25.

In the second set North Down looked like they were still reeling from losing the 1st set and Ulster were able to win the 2nd set comfortably 16-25. In the 3rd set North Down put up a better fight but Ulster proved too strong at the net and were able to win the set 21-25 and the match 3-0.

The next match for the Ulster men’s team is away to last year’s league champions, Ballymoney Blaze on Wednesday 27th October at 8pm.
