Ulster Win 5 Set Thriller Against Aztecs

The Ulster Jordanstown Men’s Volleyball Team defeated Aztecs Eagles in a tense five set thrilling match that lasted two and a half hours.

Both teams traded sid-outs in the first set but Aztecs were able to finish the first set stronger with strong serving and blocking and won 21-25. In the second set Ulster Jordanstown came back and won another tight set 25-20.

Aztecs were able to win comfortably in the third set 18-25. Aztecs committed some unforced errors in the fourth set and Ulster were able to build up a 10 point lead but allowed Aztecs to pull it back at the very end of the set but Ulster were able to hang on to win 25-20 to send the match into a deciding fifth set to 15 points.

Aztecs were unable to carry their momentum into the fifth set and never looked like winning the set and Ulster were able to win the set 15-6 and the match 3-2.

Ulster have a 100% win record after their first two games. Their next match is on the 27th November away to Lisburn Lynx.
